THE WEATHER IN SPANISH

LISTEN

To describe the weather, you usually use the verb HACER
¿Qué tiempo hace?   What's it like out?
Hace buen tiempo  weather is good
Hace mal tiempo   weather is bad
Hace frío   It's cold
Hace viento   It's windy
Hace mucho calor   It's too hot
Hace sol   It's sunny
Hace fresco   It's chilly
Hay nubes   It's cloudy
You do not use the verb HACER to say it's raining or snowing. Instead, you use the verbs nevar (to snow) and llover (to rain).
