FUTURE TENSE

LISTEN

The future tense is used to talk about something happening in the future.
There are three ways to talk about the future:

Using ir a + infinitive where intention is strong and the event will happen soon. This construction is used more frequently than the actual future tense:
Yo voy a comer en casa
vas a estudiar para el examen
Carmen va a caminar en el parque

Using the present tense when the context makes it clear that you are talking about the future:
Mañana comemos en casa (tomorrow)
Vamos a Miami la próxima semana (next week)
Pasado mañana Hernando estudia para el examen (the day after tomorrow)

By adding a special set of endings to the entire infinitive form. This form is often associated with plans, predictions, or events that are less certain.
ALL verbs (-AR, -ER and -IR verbs) have the same endings in the future tense.
IMPORTANT: Note that all the conjugations of the future tense require accents (except Nosotros form).

PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE ENDINGS!!!

Nosotros(as) hablaremos
Vosotros(as) hablaréis*
Ellos/ellas/Uds. hablarán
